Nobel Fire Systems designs, installs and services a range of marine fire suppression systems, primarily for engine bay protection with our condensed aerosol fire extinguisher systems (certified by MED and numerous other bodies e.g. ABS, DNV etc, see product page for more details) and for galley fire protection with our K-5 system.
The Nobel K-5 marine fire suppression system is a world leader in its field. It employs the gas generator technology used in our land based wet chemical fire suppression system to ensure superior marine fire suppression performance and enhanced operational safety. This marine fire extinguisher system remains at zero pressure until called upon to actuate, ensuring no leakage of expellant gas and enabling the cylinder to be installed close to the risk in the galley area.

SOLAS Regulations - Marine Fire Extinguisher systems
Strict SOLAS regulations mean that ships must now install a marine fire extinguisher system to protect the galley, in particular the fryers employed in the cookline. Any system used must meet the strict standard ISO 15371:2000 and type testing approvals for class.
